I ahve purchased new maps from TT today (western Europe)when I instaled the maps tt upgraded the application to the latest version.
Now everything appears to work accept that insyead of showing the live map, It keeps going to MAIN MENU 1 of 3. I can use this menu to select navifgation and it works the route out OK, but when you press DONE on planning screen it jumps straight to the Main Menu page 1,
also I have noticed the touch screen is no longer as responsive as it was before upgrade. When tried on HOME2 "use my device" everything works OK.
TT 720
v8.351
Unable to get Map Version when I touch version box on planning screen it asks me to confirm "Show Route Demo" and no matter which answer you give(No/Yes) it sticks on that screen |

Maybe you have gunge affecting the touchscreen. Try a piece of paper or thin card running under the bezel all round the screen.

In order, try these:
1. A pin reset on the unit
2. Running (3 times) the Clear Flash tool found here
3. Make a complete Explorer, not Home, backup of your unit's contents. Ensure hidden files/folders are showing. Now, use Explorer to delete all the loose files in the root of the unit, NO folders or their contents. Connect your unit to Home and it should offer to download an application. Accept it and install.
Condition any better?
If so, make another Explorer backup. _________________ David |
