Can someone help with an infuriating problem which probably has a simple solution.
I want to navigate to Caravan Club Sites which are often in remote locations which don't have street names or (obviously) house numbers.
I've got POI warner and have successfully downloaded a list of the caravan sites which are now displayed on maps. Question is
i) Is there an easy way of navigating to the individual POIs? or
ii) What am I doing wrong when I try to insert a yellow & black flag at the site I want to navigate to? I tap on the location and the flag turns up a half a mile or so away - as i said - infuriating.
iii) How do I delete the yellow and black flag when i don't want it?
Thanks in anticipation of your help

Hi Halli,
You can navigate to the preloaded POI's by putting in the town and then the name of the POI, ie, put the town in the town/postal code field and then in the street/special desitnation field enter caravan club or whatever they are called when you tap on the icon in map view. Whilst I was on holiday recently I entered Safeway in the special destination field and it picked it up. Interestingly one of the supermarket chains not in the POI is Aldi! In my local area I can enter BP or Tesco etc... and it finds them, I assume it will also work with your caravan club POI's, let us know.
I have had the same problem with the little flag and found it works better if you zoom in using the magnifying glass on the toolbar, the more you zoom in the more accurately you can place the flag. If you put it in the wrong place you can tap the flag icon again and tap somewhere else and it will move if your lucky, otherwise you have to accept it, then go to route planning and delete the user defined destination ( the flag) and then go back to map view and place it again.
Whilst I am babbling on, something else I have discovered is that when using Via's and building a list, when you get to the last destination and tap start navigation it takes you to the last destination in the list!! because thats the one thats highlighted, you need to highlight the first destination in the list before tapping start navigation.
Hope all that makes sense :|
cheers

Going to try your POI suggestions now.
Interestingly I had the same problem with Via's over the weekend. I had to navigate an indirect route into York to avoid a low bridge. I set two via points but becuase I selected York as the destination it tried to send me via the most direct route.
We're learning all the time aren't we!

Failed miserably with typing in caravan site - it doesn't recognise it. maybe its the way I downloaded the POI.
I'll try downloading the Tesco POI omorrow and then see what happens.

Hi Halli,
The Tesco POI's are included in the Navigon software, along with Safeway and Sainsbury and most other major petrol stations. If you look on the map at one of the icons the name comes up when you put the stylus over it, thats the name you need to enter in the special destination field to find the POI.
Good luck.
