The Smartphone software does not support tracks and routes, a workaround is needed to achieve this functionality. Here's one solution, but you need to use MM euro version.
When your map is loaded into MM, zoom out to the full extent of the map, and export the image, to the default BMP file. Open the BMP file in an image editor and convert to a palletised PNG file. Import this file back into MM, and calibrate it using suitable points from the original map. Once this is done, you will find that MM has created a JPR file with the same name as the PNG file.
Now that you have the JPR file, you can discard the PNG file and reload the original map again.
Now if you plot a route on the original map, zoom out , as before, and save the image as BMP. Then convert the BMP to PNG and import back in again, the calibration data will automaticaly be applied to the imported image, from the JPR file, and the route will be embedded in the map image.
It sounds a bit long winded, but once you have the JPR file, the process is quite quick.
