Hi mario212, If it is the Green Flag marker which is visable in the "Browse Map" window and installed as part of the recent v8.50 upgrade you will need to centre the grey "rose" icon on your HOME (or destination) location and touch the grey "rose" tab in the bottom of the windo and choose "Set Marker Position".
You can only have one Marker Position set at any one time and if you set it as HOME, it will disappear.

I've got the 530 (v8.35) and the latest maps but unfortunately that method doesn't seem to remove the green marker, it just leaves the green marker on top of the home marker |

Ah, I just tried repositioning the green flag marker on the destination marker rather than the home marker and it worked |

As above, mate... Just reposition the green marker exactly on top of either your Home or the destination marker and it will vanish.
The easiest way to do that is:
1. From the "Browse map" screen, tap "Find",
2. then tap "Home" (or "Recent destination" and pick the latest) .
3. That should place the blue cursor (I don't know where the person above got a grey one from!) exactly in the right place.
4. Tap the cursor button at the bottom
5. and then tap "Set marker position" - just as you did to set it in the first place.
It should now disappear. |

Hi mario212.
To remove the green flag - Tap on the screen of the "normal" view to get to the first menu page.
Tap on the Orange arrow to get to menu page no.2. Tap "Browse Map". I'm not sure what this page/view is called but you should be looking at a map with 4 "tabs" at the bottom and a slider for zooming in and out down the side.
You should be able to see your "Home" icon in this view,if not, drag and drop the map until you can . Tap on your Home icon and the little grey "rose" icon should be positioned over your home. If not, zoom in a little and repeat this until it is.
Now tap the grey "rose" TAB along the bottom of the screen. Tap "Set Marker Position".
This should return you to the previous view where you will notice that the Pesky Green Flag has gone.
To remove the clear circle. Hmmmm - not sure. I think this may be a permanent feature of using the default car symbol in 2D map mode. Try either a different Car symbol or changing to 3D mode. Good luck. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Now I look at it more closely, yes you are correct. My rose is blue. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
