|
|
last night... after 6 months of trouble-free operation...
My 540 restarted itself for no apparent reason while driving.
Since then, all Live services refuse to work. Symptoms:
Traffic bar greyed out
"Live services don't work in areas where no coverage" message if I try to use google search
IMEI number, SIM number etc all show as blank in network status
Is it just me or is there a more general network problem?
Any ideas to resolve please? |

I have the same issue, mine stopped after 3 months. Do you get all the updates for speed cams etc through TT home? _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Is your Live Services subscription still going through from your credit card? |

In answer to the above, my credit card is still being charged (last payment was taken on 12th May and I received confirmation email from TT).
However, none of the subscription services have worked since Sunday.
I have tried restoring to factory settings to no avail.
I am thinking that it looks like a hardware issue - the device appears unable to establish a network connection, let alone a connection to the TT servers. The fact that the SIM, IMEI numbers etc all appear blank in the network status would seem to support this.
I've opened a call with TT but no response yet. Will give it a couple of days before contacting Amazon to secure a replacement. The comments on this forum re TT support do not fill me with confidence.
Very disappointing. |

I assume you have done a reset by holding the power button down for around 15-20 seconds until you get the TomTom sound?
The mobile part will also disable itself when the battery gets low. _________________ Drivelux |

Yes, I have done a reset. Also, I've fully charged the battery.
Thanks for the suggestions. |

Comments are usually just from people who've had problems; many (most?) find TT support fairly good - if a bit slow on a busy day. |
