|

Hi
I am trying to merge some map tiles that I have to make one big map.
I am using memorymap's merge function but nothing seems to happen. I work as per the instructions in the help menu and all appears to 'happen' but the resulting display and map file although called 'xxx and surroundings' is only the original area!
Anyone got any good ideas?

What are you trying to merge? Are they the same scale.
I have merged dozens of maps into a single map for the Florida Keys and Miami. The only problem I encountered was a badly calibrated map in Miama South where all the roads were about 30M out. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Mike
They are scans of ign maps of France. Yes they are all the same scale, imported into MM Navigator OK and produced perfectly good (apparently)qct files. Memory map correctly identifies the 'map at cursor position' , but when you tell it to 'merge', it appears to do something, and you get a new .qct file called 'xxx and surroundings' but which is in fact only the original map. What am I doing wrong?

Same problem 4 years on.
Did you ever find a solution? |

Works fine for me. I use the free European Edition to import and merge the scanned maps, and then load the result into my main OS Edition.
Have you Calibrated your imported maps, to lock them onto the appropriate national grid? And then added the Boundary Points to define the map boundary? (See the Help index under Scan Maps).
Just a thought.
