Hi,

This is my 1st post so plz be kind.

I was wondering if there is an application available either as a bolt on to the standard N95 mapping or aditional software.

I see there are applications for pocket pc's etc but haven't seen anything for the Symbian S60 based range of mobiles.

It would be a peace of mind backup if the GPS gave up the ghost in the heli.
I know there is always Nav 1.0 (good old paper maps) but I do like my gadgets.

Thanks in advance

Matti

Do you already have the N95??
As far as I know there is no aeronautical software available.

A very simlar functionality could be obtained using the Ipaq phone/PDA's and on these you could download Memory Map UK aeronatical maps and Aeroplanner.com for elsewhere.

Don't get rid of the paper maps yet!!!!! 8O

Yeah i've already got the N95.

To get rid of the paper maps is asking to get lost Laughing Out Loud.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

Getting rid of the paper paper is also illegal if my memory serves me correctly under VFR.

Nothing at all for the n95. The majority of the software is for PocketPC as you have discovered. It'd be worth while getting a second hand one and running the software, some if it is pretty good. I quite like PocketFMS.
