I can do it one waypoint at a time by using the untick box in waypoint properties, but how can I get rid of the waypoint labels for a whole route at once?
Thanks in advance.

Do you want to hide the Waypoint Name on the computer screen, or on the GPS screen?
On the computer screen, my Waypoint Names are always Off by default. So if yours are ON, I would suggest you try unchecking the "Show name" box again, and perhaps check the "Make default" box.
Hiding them on my GPS is more problematic, and I haven't found a way to do it. So, I use a Track rather than a Route, and I either follow the breadcrumb trail on the GPS screen or I use the Trackback feature on the GPS to get a Navigation Arrow and ETA times etc. (Obviously if you have drawn a route already, just one click will convert it to a track for you).
[If desired, the Route (with its screen clutter) can also sit (hidden and unused) in your GPS along with the Track, if there are particular Route features you may later want to access such as distance to Waypoint CAFE or whatever].
Thanks for your help, it's the PC display I want to be rid of the waypoint labels.
The GPS unit is not a problem because I tend to use just the arrow to follow routes plotted on MM on the PC.
I'll try your suggestion.
Save the route as a CSV file
Delete the route from Memory Map.
Open the CSV file in Excel.
There you can modify the various things like Waypoint name, if it shows on the PC, on the GPS etc.
The various columns are as below.
A Waypoints
B Lat
C Long
D Waypoint symbol 0 = dot
E Waypoint Name
F Comment
G File
H Circle Radius 0 = no circle
I Show Name 0 = Show 1 = No show
J Name on GPS (copy from Col E)
K Visible Mark 1 = Show 0 = No show
L Lock waypoint 1 = Locked 0 = Unlocked
M Category
N Circle 0 = No circle 1 = passive circle 2 = Proximity alarm 3 = Anchor alarm
Using normal Excel procedures it is easy to alter all the waypoint names for example highlight the first waypoint cell and change the name to what you want it to be. Then click on the bottom right hand corner and drag it down the column. This will change all the waypoints to your chosen name with consecutive numbers. You can then copy this column ino the other waypoint columns.
Similarly, you can alter the columns which dictate whether wapoints are shown etc.
Save the altered CSV file and then open it in Memory Map. It will come with waypoints shown or not shown etc.
It sounds complicated but after you have done a couple it only takes a few minutes.
Much quicker than altering all the individual waypoints one by one.
