I've been a long term TomTom user, however I recently got an HP iPAQ 914 and TomTom informed me this was unsupported, thus they would only allow me to move my product to this device once, and then never off it.
So given I run a PocketPC review site I move my GPS routing application every few months, I've had enough
Can anyone recommend any other software that I should be looking at?
ideally it needs:
UK And European routing with occasional US maps needed
Should work in the Alps - no guarantee of phone signal
Has to integrate with PocketGPSworld speed cameras
should work on touch and non touch Windows mobile, esp the new iPAQ voice messenger as I just got my hands on one ;)
Traffic info is very useful
Trial version would be great!
I think that's about it, willing to purchase the software as long as I can move it around devices but only ever use it on one device at any one time.
Thanks alot,
Greg |

Have a look at THIS for a start.
The software is locked to the Card so you can move from device to device easily. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

thanks, that looks interesting, however I can't confirm if it works with both touch and non touch devices, is there a way to confirm? |

gregh - I would recommend you try CoPilot Live v7.7.0.134.
I have used this and previous versions across different PPCs. It can only be activated on one device at a time, but it is so easy to deactivate & reactivate over the air. It takes approx 2 minutes to complete the procedure. I am currently using on a HTC Touch HD after transferring from a HTC Touch Cruise.
It is simple & straight forward to put the PocketGPSworld speed cameras on as well as any personal POIs under "custom poi". There are good instructions on the speed camera page.
Check out this web page. http://www.alk.eu.com/ for whole host of compatible devices. |
