Does anyone know what differentiates poi files to allow proximity alerts on speed camera files only? I am also having great trouble getting the alerts to work when the .wav files are uploaded with the camera data. Works fine without wav files but no alerts at all with wav files present. They have been converted by poi uploader ok so I am mystified. |

I have now tried the following:-
Clear all poi's and upload file with cameras and wav files using poi loader.
All cameras appear as grey dots, no icons ans some way off from where they should be on map.
Clear all poi's and upload same files except for wav files removed.
All camera appear with icons in right place.
Repeat above and same happens. |

How many POI Categories are you uploading to the device? - count the number of csv files in the folder you point the POILOader application at, grey dots inlue of the actual icons have been heard of previously and it occurs when someone installs more than 256 Custom POI Categories on certain devices - this might be part of your problem - Mike |

14 csv files of which 5 are the speed camera files.
Grey dots only appear when .wav files are uploaded in file. I do a clear all poi's prior to upload. |

Which version of POILoader are you using? The wav alert feature only works with 2 specific versions of POILoader and even then it's not officially supported.
Have you ever got the wav alerts to work? I believe the voice alerts only work with the Garmin PND range (Nuvi etc) |

POI loader version is 2.5.3.0. It seems the wav files need to be mono but the loader performs the required actions along with the sox.exe file that we have to download as well.
I think the proximity alerts are generated if the file contains the '@' symbol in the name field, but will check this further. |
