I'm thinking of getting a 530T. The mount TT have on these is a 'quick release' type, right?
Are these mounts as good as any or problematical? |

See our 930 review here which uses the same case and mount. _________________ Darren Griffin

Thanks. Very helpful (as always). I noticed in that article it talked about IQ routes. I couldn't spot it IQ routes is updated frequently or not when the TT is connected to home or if it's built into the static map data only. Anyone know? |

IQ Routes is a function of the map data so requires a new map to update. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The mount supplied with the 530/730/930 is a very basic one which appears to be perfectly adequate; however, after using one for a few months (admittedly in 3 or 4 different cars daily) the suction is almost non-existant, and the socket around the swivel mount has cracked and the TT flops down under it's own weight. TT charge £20 for a replacement, but they can be found on-line for £8. I have replaced mine with an Arkon (£8 on-line) and it is a million times better. |

Personally I went for a Carcomm cradle which is superb. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The mount for the x20 series is identical.
When mine started to develop cracks round the ball and socket joint, I just sent a picture of it to TomTom and they sent me a new one straight away.
Mounts are covered by the warranty too, remember! |
