Traffic appears to have introduced stability problems.

Since installing the latest traffic which upgrades TT3 to 3.02T (422) and running GPS V3.02 (414/406), TomTom seems to have become unstable.

This manifests itself in several ways. The first is that TT just exits but leaves TomTom GPS running and the only way to stop the GPS is with a soft reset.

The second way that problems occur is that TT suddenly decides to recalulate the route and just continues to do this without ever reaching a conclusion. The multi-coloured clock whirrs round and round whilst the Navigator still tracks your position along the road. Again only a soft reset will fix this.

This seems to happen when TT traffic is downloading over about 130 incidents.

I have totally uninstalled all the TT3 and re-installed it. This includes the manual deletion of files and registry entries.

iPAQ 5550 with all the latest drivers and ROMS. TT3 bluetooth. POI Warner. HP 256MB SD Card.

Is anyone else experiencing this or found a solution.

there are several options in properties traffic tab. did you try playing with them? i remember seeing options like auto recalc, update traffic every 5 mins, etc.

just played around with it, testing tomtom's stability with two bluetooth devices (gps+phone). since i'm in switzerland, it will not find any incidents. it went well but i hope it would be stable when we go to germany this weekend where it should receive incidents.

With Navigator 3 3.01 and GPS 3.02, I've seen GPS stay running after Navigator has been shut down. 3.01 is not a Traffic capable version of Navigator, though if anything, it's happening more often with Navigator 3.02 T.

If I remember, I'll downgrade to GPS 2.07 and see if the problem goes away.

For those that don't remember, I'm using a CompactFlash GPS, not a Bluetooth one.
