Installed TOM TOM traffic, it seems to work fine, but I have lost all my favourite destinations.

Is this normal ??

What could i have done wrong if this is not the norm ??

Thanks

Paul

The version of Navigator that includes Traffic messes around with the settings files. Sometimes such manipulation goes wrong, resulting in the loss of your favourites.

I know I'm not the only person here that believes that the only favourite worth setting is the Home one. Apart from that, you're better off keeping your locations in a POI category, which tends to be much more robust than favourites. I have a Personal POI file for just this purpose.

I only had my Home favourite set, and it wasn't wiped by installing the new version of Navigator.

As DavidW has said, aside from 'Home' save all the POIs you wish to keep in a POI file, these can then be copied, shared and backed up easily.

The 'Favourites' area is really only of benefit for temporary POIs that you have no wish to retain after a journey apart from Home of course!

Hi Paul,

For some reason I didn’t lose the three favourites that I had stored. They were stored whilst using TTNav3.01, they were kept when I installed the test traffic TTNav3.02T (421), and they were still kept when I upgraded to the production traffic TTNav3.02T (422).

The reason may be that I only had 3 favourites and not the maximum, and another reason may be that all of the three favourites are also POIs.

How many favourites did you have stored before you lost them?

Regards,

Only about 6 or 7, but they wern't important, just wondered why it happened.

Can anybody please tell me whether ity is worth upgrading to the latest software for my 2210. I am still using the default it came with.

I only installed Traffic yesterday, so is the latest version or is there an upgrade worth doing, if so where ???

Thanks

Paul

Could you post what the software is and its version number, and also your ROM version? I’m sure that H2210 owners will be able to help you.

Yes I only downloaded and installed TT Traffic yesterday. I believe TTNav3.02T (422) to be the latest version of TTNav. Thumbs Up

And the ROM version of the PPC can be found in Settings | System - Asset Viewer under 'Version'.

The latest h2210 ROM Version is 1.10.07.

The GPS driver version can be seen on the second tab of the GPS driver - in the bottom corner of the world map.

That's all your versions covered. Laughing
