Hi there
Does anyone have know if I can use any iPAQ H2210 GPS software with my Garmin eTrek Vista as the input GPS source?
Any knowledge or even better a recommendation on what works best would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, you set the Garmin to export in NMEA format rather than Garmin Protocol and purchase a cable from www.PC-Mobile.net/gps.htm and on the iPAQ just set the COM port to COM1 NMEA 4800. |

Dave gave you the recipe - though don't forget to set the Garmin to WGS84 datum otherwise you'll probably find your position is a little wrong.
Any software that works with a wired GPS mouse should work with your Garmin and cable combination.

Semsons.com also has a good selection of Garmin to PDA cables.
The most interesting one is a Garmin cable bundled with Seidio G2500 mount.

Cheers everyone...
Been using my eTrex Vista with my iPAQ h2210 for nearly a year now with TomTom3 and now version 5 - top dog - spot-on turn by turn directions, cannot believe how accurate it is.
Also been using Memory Map 2004 OS mapping for SE England and A-Z London mapping. It's excellent too, although I use it less than TomTom. I am also looking forward to using Google Earth :D
Considering buying a iPAQ hw6715 when it comes out...
Cheers
