My new satnav - goes shy and does not complete the sentence "You have" (reached your destination). It then losses it completely - with no warning to "turn around when possible" and tries to loose me.
Shop has already given me another machine. TomTom tech have tried to rectify fault 4 times - and not succeeded. I start a motoring holiday o Monday!
Is this a familiar problem with this model?
Would a 520 be any better - should I seek replacement/upgrade?
Please help me! - where others have failed.

Does it do this all the time or just outside your own house?
It could be your location isn't on the actual map.

My 730, when using the Australian male voice, omits the words "you have reached your destination", leaving the sentence hanging on "Then..". This seemed to happen for all destinations. Changing to another voice fixed the problem. _________________ Tomtom Go 1005

Are you plugging it into the car's poeer or running on batteries when this happens? _________________ Darren Griffin |

running on car's power.
Been back to shop - to get 2nd replacement tis afternoon.- which works OK. I expect problems as soon as I connect it to my home computer to update maps etc - as this is what happened to 2 previous new machines.
I am using an Mac - and wonder if that is the route of my problem |

A Mac won't be the issue, MikeB and I are both dedicated Mac users and have never had the issue you describe, very odd. You are using the internal speaker, not FM Transmitter or anything unusual? _________________ Darren Griffin |
