Dennis, the server is now about 19 minutes slow.
Alas, it would appear that your man with his pencil and paper was delayed an extra couple of minutes at Terminal 5 on his way back to the server farm.
Ah well, this time tomorrow, the clocks will be an hour deviant to what they are today

No Chance! He retained on the train at all times, thus there was no probability of him being allayed. He got it right, it's just the server that's wrong. (Maybe the guy who took the piece of paper from him was alliterative?) _________________ Dennis

Aha, I knew I'd seen it somewhere and (contrary to popular belief) I'm not cracking up...
...if you look at the bottom of the page on the right hand side, immediately below the forums, it says
When you are looking at the forums without being logged in, the default is
However, if your profile is changed to GMT + 1 hour, this changes to Quote: | All times are GMT + 1 Hour |
Therefore, my previous statement about the PGPSW clock running on GMT is kind of correct because this seems to be the default time zone. _________________ Andy

Thanks but we don't control what our hosts use for time synchronisation! The servers are hosted and we don't have access to do this. If we did there wouldn't be an issue. _________________ Darren Griffin |

There has to be a 'default' timezone, our board software allows you to use what offset is your default. We choose GMT naturally. That doesn't change the fact that you need to change your offset when the clocks go back / forward. _________________ Darren Griffin

Understood, but when I was trying to explain previously, you said that you didn't understand what I was saying and I thought I must be losing it.
Mind you, I carefully nibbled around the seem of an Easter egg the other day so that I'd have half left for the following day, but when I went back to it there was only an empty foil wrapper and nobody in the house has eaten it (or so they say!).
...and then there was this clock issue
Hence, I was coming to to conclusion that we either had a burglar whose target was just half an Easter egg or my memory isn't quite what it used to be. _________________ Andy

! Yes understood, I didn't come across very well as I'm oft to keep it short'n'sweet in posts but it results in what may appear a terse reply.
Anyway the latest post did at least remind me to update my settings, despite forewarning everyone else I still managed to forget! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Shall we have to do it again when the clocks go back back? _________________ Dennis

If you do it often enough, you're bound to get it right eventually
GMT + DennisN = Chico time
PS drifting back on topic, has anybody else noticed that the PGPSW server clock is now CORRECT(ish)? _________________ Andy

Yes I noticed the time had corrected when I replied on Darrens reminder thread.
