|
|
Alright Everyone,
Im having a problem with my B2 ATM.... The unit works fine when the laser modual isnt plugged in, but as soon as you plug it in, and activate it, the unit restarts all the time, gets to the boot screen and restarts again.
Anyone else had this problem, and know how to get around it?
Cheers

Hi James,
The problem you have can be one of several. Without actually seeing the device it's difficult to diagnose. Do you use the laser detector inside the car (some people use them externally & water ingress occurs). The problem could also be with the cradle/loom. Do you know anyone else that has a OB2?, if so just swap the two units to see what happens on the other cradle. Finally, perform a reset of the unit. open the Origin Update Utility (V1.33); Click FILE, then INITIALIZE REMOTE.

Thanks for the reply!
I think it may actually be the cradle in the car, but cannot be sure... The problem seems to have got worse now.
When you put the B2 on the in car cradle, the start up procedure runs and when it gets to the end the red lights come on beep and the unit restarts again in a constant loop!
The unit is fine when its on the USB cradle....
Is it the connections on the car cradle? or something else? |

Yea i tried to email them... twice now, and no reply in a few weeks.
My origin is second hand and i think its over 2 years old... so its well out of the garantee period. |
