Nuvi 610 Map Zoom when not navigating.

Hi,

Just got a 610 with 2008 maps and latest firmware - and was testing it out yesterday - - when using it whilst it was navigating the map view was fine - but when just using the map view (with no navigating) it did something a bit odd - on the local roads in town it zoomed out so far it displayed most of Kent but when we hit the main A road it zoomed back it to a normal view - once off the A Road it zoomed back out.

Have i missed a setting ? (My I3 doesn't do this).
