Have you tried Haicom's web-site? What software are you after, as it's a BT GPS it won't have/need a driver, the Cd normally comes with a simple test program and that is unlikely to be for PalmOS (unless your Treo is Win Mobile?) _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren thanks for the reply . I don't have a program to use the info the gps provides. I assumed the cd that came with it had the palm program to show where you were etc. Haicom replyed no driver needed period no other comment or reply to question about the operating software. |

All that would have been supplied would be a test utility. This simply allows you to verify the GPS is working and will give you a Latitude/Longitude readout, nothing more.
To make full use of your GPS receiver you will need to invest in a fully featured GPS application, the choice depends on what you wish to do with it, car navigation, hiking, flying etc? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I just wanted it to find addresses in Illinois at this point. what would a gps receiver be any good for if you don't have the software to tell you where you are? I thought it would have the software also. Chances are this will be a $70.00 gadget thrown in the drawer now. Thanks Darren |

The software is often a separate purchase. At $70 you paid about the right price for the receiver alone. You need to investigate software for the Palm (there isn't a lot of choice). _________________ Darren Griffin |
