|
|
Hi All, sorry for this I must be thick or something!!! I've got myself a shiny new 520 today and have dutifully subscribed to get your camera database which I now have on the hard drive of pc
The problem I have is I cant seem to find the relevent folders on where to place the files, I have gone through the 2 different install processes (hoping to use the tomtom home route) on the drop down screen there was no tomtom home file to download as per the tutorial?
I have downloaded the ov2 files and am using the latest version of tomtom home software. Any help much appreciated, sorry for being such a numpty!! |

Have you read the instruction page Here?
Have you done a Full Backup with Explorer yet? If not make your first job to read the FAQs Page. Especially #1 which can then be your second job. _________________ Richard

One other option is to use ogg audio files for the warnings, this method is easier than typing inm all the warnings for each camera category, the required files and instructions can be found on THIS Page - Mike |

Just to note that you don't need to download extra files or do any extra setup for large icons to appear. By default, the standard ones are enlarged for the alerts.
It's only in the last few weeks that TomTom made public how to use custom large icons which I've started playing with. _________________ Gerry

Very many thanks to you all for your help, have now got it pretty much sorted... Pocket GPS world speed cameras, new warning sounds with siren and large icons almost there me thinks..
Oh, one other thing, was playing around with the fm transmitter thingy (waste of time in my opinion) but now I can't get rid of the fm icon on the map screen!!! How do I get rid of it? Sorry for being such a pain |

Go To Change preferences -> QuickMenu and remove it there. _________________ Darren Griffin |
