I have a new A6 with the DVD based SatNav and TMC.

It is receiving the TMC messages, but allocating them to the wrong location.

For example, the M25 Dartford crossing is shown on the M58 and the M25/M40 junction is on the M181.

Audi are saying I have to wait for a new Nav disk to cure the problem but I would be interested to hear if anyone else has come across this.

Thanks

Chris

A new disk will most probably fix this issue, the TMC messages contain an ID tag that denotes the actual road location affected by the hold up, if the old map has dfferent location codes to those being currently used this would explain why the Dartford tunnel is about 250 miles away from where it should be. The big drawback to such a system is the cost of a replacement disk they can often cost a small fortune - Mike

Thanks Mike,

Audi have swapped the disk for one that came out of a demonstrator and worked OK in the other car.

It sounds like the TMC is a one off download into the Satnav and this has been corrupted. I'm surprised that there doesn't seem to be any way of reloading the data.
