Something similar happened to me today. Netscape is set up to insert my id/password (or maybe it's a cookie?). But I got a message telling me the pw was wrong. So i typed it in manually. Still got message saying wrong pw (*might* have remembered wrong).
Asked for new one to email address. No response. After a while asked again. This time success.
But really puzzled as to why it decided the pw that i'd been using for months was invalid.

It had the ID correct, and a row of asterisks to represent the password. Unless something went wrong at the server end, the only thing I could think of is that I caught the keyboard and added a character to the password. But then I think Netscape would have offered to change the stored password.
Just puzzling. Not a problem. Thanks for suggestion.
