Gentlemen
Am a fully regsitered user now for a couple of years and have posted on numerous occasions in the various forums but I appear to be unable to send private messages.
I prepare them, click send and then find them stored in my Outbox but not in the Sent box. Am I doing something wrong?

No, but the people you are sending them to are, by not picking them up. Send me one if you like; when I open it, the message will move from your 'Outbox' into your 'Sentbox'.
