|
|
We have a Garmin i3 which has worked fine for the last year. However the last 2 times we have used it has started loosing the satallite signal while driving along. Does anyone have any idea why this should have started happening. The unit has been running on batteries and in the same car (Peugeot 206) |

Peugeot 206 - does this have the Anthermic (blue-ish heat reflective) windscreen?
When you loose the signal is it in places where there was no problem before?
Did you let it get a fix on the satellites before you started your journey? |

Not as far as I know, but it was OK befor in any case
It is losing the signal on places such as the main dual carrdgeway when it has always been fine before
It had a fix before we set off |

Hmm. Possibly a fault in the unit. Did it coincide with bumps or pot holes or corners at all??
Has the unit been dropped recently?
Does it say (voice) "Lost Satellite Reception"? |

A lot of the higher spec 206s do have an anthermic windscreen according to the wonderful Pug parts cd rom.
For you 206 hatchback owners out there you have a choice of 6 different windscreens to pick from, 2 of them normal & the other 4 anthermic. _________________ Garmin I3

What firmware is it running? Have you upgraded it. I found that on 3.4 mind randomly says 'lost satellite reception', when i say randomly, normally when i go off the planned route, then it immediately says 'recalculating'.
but it still works ok |
