|
|
Hi, I'm a lonely ICN550 (Costco bought) user. I've read numerous threads criticising Navman's inability to update its maps (unless by any chance a new update has been released in 2007 ).
My query is whether there is a way to map the western extention as my 550 happily attempts to guide me through this area blissfully unaware of any mapping developments....It's a costly experience trust me!!!
Please is there a solution that I could utilise? I actually like my unit and would like to continue with it. Is it a vain hope? Should I join the Tom Tom in-crowd??
Thanks in advance for any help or constructive advice you can give. |

Welcome to the forum
Assuming you are trying to avoid the congestion charge area I remember the icn 550 having an avoid area feature. Why not drag an avoid area block over cerntral london. Hence forth it will navigate you around the CC. _________________ Dom

It is always possible to convert them using this excellent little utility.

My 530 runs Garmin POI with no modification!! And the extended CC area is on and working..
Why is it called the Garmin POI's why not Garmin/Navman POI's this would save a lot of confusion and endless queries to the Moderators? |
