Hi. can you help me to access my map.The first time I put a map into my rx5720.it was easy to access in Programs. since fumbling around I got everything ok did one walk (GPS fine) Then had problems getting a GPS fix ,and finished up doing a Hard Reset.now when I download a map into main memory or SD card I can't get it to open. I know LITTLE about Computers but am learning the hard way. What am I doingwrong, I use a USB cable to connect, and only download small maps.

Welcome to the forum, connect the device to the PC which has the Memory Map application loaded, once Active Sync has started up and you have a connection start Memory map on the PC.
On the Menu bar on the PC in MM is "Mobile Device" select this and from the drop down click "Install Pocket Navigator" you will probably have to click OK etc to install the application on the device, simply follow the onscreen prompts. This will put the application back onto the PDA so it can read the map data - Mike

Glad to hear thats sorted it, when you are loading maps to the PDA keep the file size below 250MB for reliable performance, others have loaded larger map segments but I find large maps take a while to load. If you are just installing the local area of your walk you should be OK.

Have you tried planning a walk on the PC then transfering the way points to the PDA to follow yet? then transfer where you actually went (Track) back from the PDA to the PC to view altitude/ speed profiles etc - you can get quite a large amount of feedback from the MM package via the PC and PDA - Mike
