I've managed to break the screen on my C710 and need to get it fixed. I got a quote of € 128,05 (ex. VAT) plus delivery from the UK - 20 euro so I'm looking at way over £100!!! Anyone know of any cheaper alternatives where I can get an equally good job done?
Thanks |

Any cheap faulty units on eBay or other auction sites
Would it be an easy job to swap the screen assembly from a faulty unit onto your own, otherwise working, unit?
Have you tried any UK dealers to see if they'd be able to do anything with the unit? This might be quicker and cheaper than shipping to Belgium. |

Thats pretty much what I'm trying to find out-to see if anyone here has had a faulty screen replaced and where from. I have come across one place in Birmingham that dos it from £50 but I'm just curious as to whether anyone else has done it anywhere else |

I have the same problem (with a C510E) - I'd be very keen to know if somewhere can do it much cheaper - what is the place in Birmingham called?
I'd even try replacing it myself if I knew where to buy a screen. |

After a quick Google search, I found a few places offering repairs which look promising. Here's a couple of them:
www.gpsmidlands.co.uk
www.apexlaptops.co.uk
apex also sell touchscreens and displays - I'm waiting for a couple of quotes before deciding. |

Great. As our systems are identical (except for the lack of TMC with the C510, let em know how much they quote you and I'll go with them too
Thanks |
