Hi all

Hope someone can give me a clue on this one.

Since Xmas I have not been able to connect to Traffic (GPRS connects but then it says cant see traffic server). ALL other GPRS functions (Netfront, outlook, active sync etc) work fine.

With this in mind I went to re-register my Service Account and guess what - same thing - this time cant connect to Service Account.

Nothing has really changed on my PDA (O2 XDAIIi - WM2003SE) and EVERYTHING else on GPRS works AOK but I have carried out the following tests that seem to point at the PDA or the Tom Tom Software...

1. Use another O2 sim in the phone and try that.
Same result - all GPRS works fine but TTN5 connects to GPRS and then cant find anything

2. Use another phone with my SIM
Works fine with TTN5 and all GPRS functions

3. Delete and re-create GPRS connections on PDA
Same result - all GPRS works fine but TTN5 connects to GPRS and then cant find server

4. Total reload of TTN5
Same result etc etc (i.e. still doesnt work with TTN5 - even for registration - had to do it manualy!) - could a remnant of the old install be left there.

5. O2 claim no problem with GPRS on my account

6. TomTom have passed to 2nd line support but have heard nowt from them.

My only other option I see is to hard reset my PDA which I am VERY loathe to do (I have to go through so much rigmerole to remove O2 Active and reload all my software this is a 'If I dont do this I will die a horrible death' last option!

Has anyone come across this before - it kinda looks to me like TTN5 is launching GPRS but either GPRS is 'blocked' from the Server or TTN5 is not looking for the right servers - is there any kind of a file I may have deleted that contains the Service and Trafic server info or something that TTN5 relies on in the OS.

Your help would be MOST appreciated!

Regards

Dave
