Hello!

I have a Dell Axim x51v (ROM A012) with WM5 and Destinator 6 installed. Everything is on axim's memory, SD card is just for music. However, when I turn the Axim off and then on, Destinator 6 says that "Storage card has been removed and application will shut down". But SD card is there! Any ideas why this is happenning? I thought this was a Destinator PN issue, not one of D6. Any help? I was considering buying a bigger SD card and install destinator maps there, but now I'm concerned that I might sometime be lost as destinator is having issues with the SD card. Has anyone encountered this error as well? Any thought will be apppreciated.

Thanks,
Gustavo.

It looks like if your quoting ROMs then you're fully up to date. You're correct in saying it was a PN issue and they released an update to fix it (just seemed to delay the read) The fix did work though.

I really don't have the answer but since your post had tumbleweed blowing past it I thought I'd at least post my findings. With an SPV M5000 I get the same result so looks like the bug is back. I now run a car which leaves the power on when ignition off so this isn't an issue for me.

As a short term fix maybe a trip to maplins for a ciggie type socket, a bit of wire and an in-line fuse is the solution. A borrowed multimeter or 12V bulb and some of those piggy-back clips should be within the capabilities if a basic user - earth to something solid and you'll be fine) I leave my GPS reciever on charge and on certain occasions leave the device plugged in while in a locked garage (risky but true- put it under the seat with no cable trace) so battery drain shouldn't be an issue.

I seem to have spent the whole nght posting cynical comments about Destinator so I'll reserve my comments on the fact that this has re-appeared until a different date!
