Help Please!

Hi guys

A friend of mine drives a bloody great big crane for a living and has asked me to find a sat nav unit that he can pre program with a route. E.g. he wants to use the m25 then the m4 then the blah blah blah is there a GPS device out there that does this? Sounds lazy to me but he said it saves driving with a map on his lap.

Take your pick on devices to be honest, everyone has their own oppinions on each model.

I drive HGV's for an agency & use the Navman ICN520 (cheap at the moment) as the ICN530 is its successor as far as i know.

You can download low bridges onto the point of intrest(POI) to warn you in advance of the bridges hight & most of the Sat Navs you can set a Multi-route options to go to certain areas/routes you want. But generally I just put in the postcdoe & street name & the Sat Nav will do the rest for you.
You can custom set it to use motorways more or A/B roads.
You just have to be aware the Sat Nav is just a good aid as some roads it trys to send you down arent big enough for HGV's.....just monitor the route while driving.
