Fujitsu N520/MN5 gps problem

I recently bought a Fujitsu N520, and I'm having problems with the inbuilt gps. When I launch Navigon (or the gpsLocator in WM5) I often don't get a fix at all (even with a clear view etc.).

If I go into Settings, System, GPS, Programs tab, and alter the gps program port from say COM5 to COM4, and launch Navigon again, I get a fix within a few seconds (even indoors)!

Great, but after a day or two it stops working again, and the only way to fix it is to change the program COM port again (doesn't seem to matter what to, as long as it's changed) and everythings ok again for a few days.

I guess this is only a minor irritation, but I would really love to get to the bottom of the problem and get it sorted out!

Any suggestions? Has anyone else got the same problem?

I have a n520 set to COM8. No problems with signal. Check the gps sharing setting in WM5. I tried making COM9 as a shared com port so I could swap between mn5 and tomtom without having to exit but it was a pain in the rear endlike you are having.
