likewise i requested that the legal screen time showing of +8secs was possibly to long and that switching to the map view straight after this maybe better than the where to, view map, settings page which could be brought up by pressing the back button.
I hope they don't listen to you on this one. I find things just fine as they are.
I think it's logical to present you with a menu when you switch on. I select 'Where to' or 'Settings' more often than 'Show map', and think it's far more confusing for new users to have to press the 'Back' button to get a basic menu. _________________ Anita

this was made more as a "toe in the water" suggestion anita, following several coversations between zogman, others and myself.
we have people on the forum at the moment having a shufty to see if it is possible.

Now I know you'll disagree with me on the first one, but I'd like a later final turn instruction, with the 'turn right' being as I reach the road I must take, not two or three roads before that. The previous commands, that give the distance to the turn, give ample opportunity to get in the correct position for the manoeuvre, which should be unambiguous.
More 'via's would be nice, to force a preferred route.
'Review turns' to give road numbers rather than road names, so it's easier to follow on a map before setting off on an unknown route.
The ability to zoom in on any part of the route when viewing it on the map.
Simulation mode faster than real-time, so it doesn't take an hour to check a 40 mile journey.
That's all I can think of at the moment, but I'm sure there's more It's just a wish list, and I know none of them will happen, and it doesn't mean I'm unhappy with my i3. I still think it's the best £129 I ever spent _________________ Anita

What you are both describing costs nearer the £500 mark, so at £129 as you point out its great value, it will never have the ability of the higher end devices, it is a great unit for the price - Mike

Yes, I realise that, Mike, and there's no way I could justify spending that much.
And the i3 also wins hands-down on portability, mapping (especially Ireland where I'm off to soon) and support. :P _________________ Anita

here's a thought, the newer motorway vehicles at work, my 530 bmw touring being one, are now fitted with sat nav.
guess what i use if need to............ yes the old i3
this speaks volumes in my opinion.
