I have an Axim X5 300mhz and i recently purchased the globalsat bc-307. When i insert the card a message comes up and says that an unrecognized card has been inserted. When i open GPSInfo program included with receiver it shows 4 COM ports (COM 1: Serial, COM 2: USB, COM 3: IrCOMM, COM 4: IrDA). I have added no other hardware to my Axim. I have looked everywhere for drivers for this card but have been unsuccessful. I have upgraded the ROM to A03. I don't knwo what else to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

If you are getting an unrecognised card, then it unfortunately means the card won't work with the combination of that Pocket PC and Operating System. Some of the older CF GPS cards did have problems with Windows Mobile 2003, although I haven't heard of issues with the GlobalSat.
We do have one and I'll get Darren to try this under WM2003 on an iPAQ 2210 (we don't have any Axim's). |

I've just plugged our BC-307 in to my 2210, initially I got the Unrecognised Modem inserted message. I fired up TomToms GPS Driver, configured it for NMEA@4800 and set the COM Port to CF_CARD_GENERIC and it's communicating and acquired a fix. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I am having the same problems where I plug my new BC-307 into my Ipaq 2210 running pocket pc 2003 and a message coming up saying unrecognised card. You mention I should set the com port to CF_CARD_GENERIC under my tomtom gps driver but it doesn't give me that option.
Please help
