Dear friends, I've compact flash gps (HICOM 303) and iPAQ 3950.
The system work very well with the other programs but OZI don't recognized the GPS.
In the setting-nmea ecc. I don't found any "CF interface".
Can you help me?
Many thanks.

Maurizio,

I havent used this type of configuration before, but the CF GPS is normally on either Com3 or Com5.

What you should try to do is test each available com port in turn with the setting for 4800 baud. One of these should be the CF GPS.

Dear Mike,
I try to set the system in COM3 or COM5 but when I test the NMEA signal or other, OZI return "communication with the GPS must be ON".
How can I turn it ON?
Many thanks.
Maurizio.

Sad
Hi
I have the same problem on a toshibe e570
OziexplorerCE loads up but when I try to set the
file / configuration / NMEA(gps) there is no user selectable com port drop down box, the top most box says Baud. In the help it says I should be able to first select the com port.
I am also using the 303mmf cf card ( see other post in this thread) so maybe its todo with that?
I have the latest version of Ozi and all other software runs ok eg tomtom, Hiatest, Winfast etc.
Idea
I was hoping that some one has had a fiddle with the regestry and there is maybe a hack to hard code the com port in Ozi I have looked but have not found anything
Laughing
cheers
Stewart

Dear Stewart, I've resolved the problem (many thanks John) with this setting: Open File menu select configuration then NMEA (GPS) set Baud to 4800 Port to COM6
Sentence GPRMC GPS NMEA Output Datum WGS 84.
The system work very well.
Regards.
