will be using it on my Aprillia Mille in the UK but mostly between the netherlands, France and Spain

I have a copy of Tomtom 5 with all the maps but would still require a mount to go below the screen

any ideas or recomendations?

At present i use on my bike:

Vodafone 1240 (Windows Smartphone)

TomTom Mobile 5

Holux 236

The reason i use the Holux over the TomTom BT supplied as i always take a spare battery with me which is easy to swap without having to charge. I put the GPS unit either in my bike pocket or under my seat, i did have a dc charger wired to my bike battery before but removed it and never put it back (lazy). I like the idea of having the satnav on a phone so i don't have to carry 2 many gadgets, and i can answer the phone while on the bike with a bt handsfree.

I forgot to mention that both the PDA and the Holux take the same type of power connector (mini USB). Again this is good for carrying less and when your on the bike you really do want to be able to travel light.

As you are looking at the 2210 as this has the older OS PPC 2003 SE if you are not going to use this unit all the time you will find that you have to install tomtom and any other files that you install. In saying that tomtom can be reactivated very easy as long as you log the physical activation code onto a txt doc on your memory card.

The 2210 is a good all round PDA and has been out for a few years now and proved to be very popular throughout its shelf life. As it is no long being made you might have problems getting bits and bobs for it.

For me the smartphone was the better solution but that might not be what you are looking for.

excellent! - also looking at an old ipaq with a Holux and tomtom 5

but will look at pricing for your solution (I too would prefer not to carry around loads of different gadgets!)
