Do you use 3rd party firewall software such as Zone Alarm ? Have you tried using Internet Explorer? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have just brought this product and feel like I have just wasted £19.00 for subscribing.
The whole thing seems so complicated. I have downloaded so many things I have become confused and spent hours wondering where I went wrong.
I have a Garmin Street Pilot C310. I have tried to follow the instruction but nothing seems to download properly. How do I abstract something from a zipped file?
What a nightmare. Could anyone please explain in plain English please?
I am sure this happens all the time with new people but it is so frustrating !!!
Thanks. |

This messege to Warsash1 regarding your Garmin system and your subscription of £19. Do not worry you are not the only who is confused and wasted money. I have the same problem, although I have tried every possible way, with my nav. system Bluemedia (BM6300). Downloading. extracting, copying etc... |

The BM6300 is a model number, it could have a range of different nav software installed on it, what software do you have? _________________ Darren Griffin |

It's really very simple but you do need to know some very basic PC things such as .zip files. What Operating System does your PC have and do you have the Garmin POILoader installed?
Plain English and computers are not happy bed fellows but with some patience we'll get you going. In the meantime have you read our Garmin POI Loader page here which explains the process. _________________ Darren Griffin |

It is believed, that in fact your hardware is not capable of downloading points of interest. _________________ Robert Brady |

Does this new format for downloading only work with IE?
I've just tried with Firefox as I had before, but as above there is no pop-up to ask if/where to download.
Since I suspected a browser issue, I switched to IE and it was OK!
I'd rather not have to use IE, even for such a useful file - can you fix this for me (us)??

No problems here with Firefox 1.0.7 and Sygate Pro FW. Any chance you previously ticked the pop-up box to "automatically download files like this" to your default location? The download may have been sucessful without the prompt.
If for whatever reason IE is your only option then consider installing the IE Tab extension until a solution is found. Its an IE emulator working within the security of Firefox browser.
