I have the same set up and can report no issues for me. The main advantages is that with the latest version, you are able to use POICapture and help build on the database.
I don't think there are any extra features but it always pays to have the latest software version. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

lupos0_1 thank you for your reply my system is fine with ver 5.00 so i am always cautious when upgrading software just incase it becomes unstable.

Having upgraded from TT4 to TT5 there are useful extra features such as warnings of tolls, better search options and better routing options. I particulalrly like that yo ucan be driving a route and decide you want a petrol station and it will show you POIs in distance from your route as well as distance from your position so you can see which ionvolves the smallest diversion.
However, TT5 introduces some new bugs including serious lag when displaying custom POIs making display of POIs impossible on a 1710. |

I believe that this is an issue for most PDA's not just the 1710. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------
