The Transonic and similar devices is locked such that access to the underlying OS (WinCE 4.2) is hidden.

This can be unlocked. Pocket Streets does not allow routes to be created or used, why do you need this out of interest?

i do a lot of riding on my motorcycle with the institute of advanced motorists, and we have to plan out routes to take people on, then give them a debrief afterwards

that's ok, but why Pocket Streets? Why not, for example, Mapopolis which has a much better route planning/save/restore feature?
