Hi fcat,
Did you make a note of the product code, or better still did you set up an account on the TomTom website and Store your product codes in the “My Products” section?
If TomTom offer a reduced cost upgrade for the USA maps, and if you wish to upgrade, then you will need the product code.
If you have a copy of the receipt and/or a copy of a credit card statement for proof of purchase and a copy of the police incident report for the reason of loss, then TomTom may allocate you a new product code!

i do have the small plastic container that the card came in and all the packaging, on the plastic contaier there a code of 4 digits, then 3 digits the 4 digits could this be the same as on the activation card? |

No, the product code is 3 sets of 5 digits, i.e. 15 digits in total.

Make sure you do a backup of your SD card NOW so that you can restore it if anything goes wrong. I don't think you'll need to re-activate it that way. |
