Two questions:
Are there any plans to port your database into CP4 POI format?
The database supplied with CP4 lists the GATSO Number. I'm not sure what this number is or what use it is to the driver.
Would it not be better to list the speed limit that the camera is in. I think this would make drivers more conscious of their speed, after all should this not be what the aim is?

The CoPilotV4 Gatso Database was actually supplied by ourselves We are currently in discussion with Alk for the provision of ongoing updates for CoPilotV4 users so stay tuned! _________________ Darren Griffin |

The Gatso Camera ID is there to aid users in reporting to us sites that are no longer in use.
We are looking into making a database available that is broken down by Speed in force at that camera as certain POI utils can be configured to alarm for different speeds etc but this is very much work in progress at the moment! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Sounds like you are well on top of things.
I have noticed some camera positions where there is no camera, such as in the New Forest, but to my knowledge there has only ever been mobile units there. I don't find this to be a problem as it does tend to keep you aware of your speed. Is this the kind of thing you want reporting though?

Initially we added mobile sites where they were known to be frequent haunts.
The problem we now face is authenticating them, there is no way for a user to know if this is an old camera site that no longer exists, a database error or a genuine site.
For the moment they remain and we're asking users for removal requests only where they know a camera has been removed or an entry is obviously in error. As ever it's best to be heed any warnings at sites where no camera is apparent, one day they'll be manned! It's a fine line as too many warnings that to the casual user appear 'false' could result in them being ignored! _________________ Darren Griffin |
