Has anybody had problems with Copilot live 4, the unit I have, will not lock on to satelites for at least 15 minutes, the unit when locked on, looses the signal really quickly, and takes forever to lock back on.
The vehicle has had gps before and worked fine.
I have had no answer from support (uksupport@travroute.co.uk), team warrior does not support version 4.
I am going to send the unit back to Expansys who said they would have a look at it and maybe change it for another one. Expansys say they have had several units back already.
Does anybody out there have the new version 4 and have similar problems, or no problems? _________________ Storm |

UK Support is now done through TravRoute direct. You'll find Dan or Michael will probably answer your question.
There have been a few posts here about the Emtac/CoPilot sleeve doing something similar, and I'm wondering whether there are a bad batch of sleeves. The sleeve in general is pretty good and we haven't had many issues with it. |

G'day Dave,
Thanks for reply, I will change the unit and see if it's any better, I will buy a Radiating Antenna for it, maybe that will help....do you know of a compatable one.
Also do you know off any reason why I cannot power the jacket in the car permanently on, to maintain satelite lock?

If you've received around 5-7 sats on average with other GPS equipment then you shouldn't have any requirement for a re-rad. Easiest way to test is to see the signal strength in-car, move it out of the car and see if the status bars on individual sats increase.
You should be able to power the sleeve permanently in-car. |

I have had my CoPilot 4 for almost a week now. Tests so far are good. Dorset to Chester(Airbus UK) good. Yesterday Dorset to Greenwich, great! Use a re-radiating antenna on the roof or dashboard. Full satelites all the way! I bought it all from Clove Technology, Bournemouth. Very helpful is Clive Love... |
