Co-Pilot 3.5 Map Updates

1) I'm interested to know if anyone has ever received a map update for version 3.5?



2) Are registered owners entitled to map updates?



3) Now Co-Pilot Live is released, will those updates cease to be available or



4) are Co-Pilot Live maps compatible with version 3.5? In which case will we be receiving them?

1. Map updates with most GPS companies tend to only happen with major release updates. TravRoute are currently offering a £99 upgrade deal to the new version with newer maps. Sometimes you will see newer maps released, but it's only generally if there are major issues with the maps that it requires a complete re-compile.

3. Program updates generally slow or cease with most GPS Coompanies, but if there are urgent bugs that are found, generally with most companies these will be patched.

£116 (inc VAT) it is then. Do you know exactly what the upgrade comprises of. Is it just a CD or does it come on a memory card?

The only comment that comes to mind is that the cost of upgrading your Co-Pilot software is the same as buying TomTom Navigator 2 UK (software only).



That is not a reason not to upgrade Co-Pilot, particularly if you're happy with it - but I thought I'd mention it to add into your consideration of your options.
