Hi all.

Tried my Quest yesterday, fantastic. Much better than I was expecting.

Anyway, I have V7 of City Select on my PC, unlocked.
I have transferred routes to the quest but how do I get the whole of V7 onto my quest so it runs off V7 mapsource?

The manual says you have to select some V7 maps and transfer them to the Quest (just like transferring routes)....

I think I understand. I just zoomed out so I can see the whole of the UK, clicked the map tool and circled the whole of the UK.

I'll try downloading that. I've also noticed that the whole map is split into smaller sections, that's what they must mean by "maps".

You can't put all the maps into the Quest, there are too many.

In Mapsource, make sure you have v7 maps selected in the popup menu (there should be v6 and v7).

Click on the tool with the polygon icon and the yellow outline in your toolbar.

Click on the map to select the areas you want to upload

Click on the "maps" tab to see a list of the maps to upload and more importantly, the size of the maps. You can upload 243 Megabytes, the entire UK is about 160 Meg.

Make sure you tick the box to include route calculation data or your GPS won't calculate routes for you!

Uploading maps is the same as for waypoints and routes, but it does take a little while to upload a full set. Choose carefully, if you want to change the maps then you have to upload the whole lot again. :x

Good luck!

Ta.

I was under the impression there would have been an "update" button, now I realise I just need to load the latest of whatever maps I need.

Thanks guys.
