Is there anyway of enabling my Medion MD95900 to accept grid references as destinations? If I click on the map and it doesn't know anything about the area then it stores just the grid reference, but I can't manually type one in.

Anyone?

Hi,

I tried the same and had no luck.

Will let you know if I figure it out or gt an update the enables grid input.

Have you found a handy place to get maps of europe for the 95900?

Thanks

I've sussed it! Or at least, when using a PC.

If you connect the PNA with activesync and browse to the "My Flash Disk" directory you'll find three files: favourites.txt, recent.txt, prefs.txt

If you open favourites.txt with a text editor you'll find a list of all your saved locations. Columns 13 and 14 are the grid coordinates. You can edit these to be whatever you want and then copy the file back to the device. Then do a soft reset to get it to re-read the file and you're done! The other text appears to be just information that is displayed when browsing the saved locations menu, the GPS only uses the grid reference. So it doesn't matter if you don't change anything else or even just leave it blank.

prefs.txt contains various settings including your home target.

recent.txt is (obviously) your recent targets.

I haven't looked for european maps because I have no need for them. I have looked for a program to display topographical maps but haven't managed to find any that work with winCE.
