Can anyone point me to the list of cars which have windscreens that affect Navman reception. There was one here somewhere but I'll be damned if I can find it. Plannning on getting a new Honda Civic Type R but wanna check GPS will still work.

I've got a Standard Honda Civic (of the New Shaped Chassis).
In both the 3 Door (same one as the Type-R) and 5 Door, my Navman GPS works faultlessly.
Because of the Size of the WindScreens and the angle they are at, there is no need for a Re-radiating Antenna either. This does also mean that using the WindScreen attachment you need quite long arms to use the PocketPC properly.
I can highly recommend, if you do get a Civic - that you purchase one of the Pro-Clips (on Navman Site) as this attaches (no damage) perfectly on the facia just to the top-right of the Centre Console (just above the Air Direction Dial) putting the PocketPC close to see and use and close to hear clearly.
Can't fault my current setup.
Numerous other people from work, have also copied the same setup in their Civics, varying all models/editions with no problems yet.
Hope the above is of some use to you.
Please contact me, if you would like any more info, or even photos of the ProClip. |

Thanks for the help, especially Simon. Hadn't yet considered how I was going to fit the mount, I knew that one would be resolved in some manner but thanks for the tip. |
