Upgrade Medion Navigator 4.2?

I bought the Aldi PPC150(MIO 168) with Navigator 4.2. As this is essentially Navigon software is there any way to enable the TMC function that Navigon's ver 4 has? There is a TMC folder created but I assume to keep the price down the software bits have been stripped out that enables it. If true it's a pity as GNS sell a new combined power/TMC cable for the Mio 168. On the GNS website it says it works with MN5 but we all know that they don't have the TMC licence for the UK with ver 5! The same goes for Destinator PN as well it seems.
