Hi all,
maybe my question is a bit OT, in this case sorry
I have installed a CD BT from billionton into CF slot and, after some install/remove driver, now the BT is recognized by driver and i can use gprs, network, ftp and so on but all very very slow: ftp (from ipaq to desktop) say 9Kbs, ping average time is about 75ms
So not very useful...
Other strange thing is that billionton setup say 'insert cf before install software/driver' but if i do this the card is never see by soft, if i install without CF and then insert it i can see and use the BT.
Anyone here has used some CF BT with navman 3000 ???
Many thanks in advanced and sorry for my english

It's something I've thought about trying, but never actually tried it. I'm not sure if the socket would be up to it on a power consumption basis or from a pin-out. I'll have to give it ago and see if it will work. |

Hi Dave,
thanks, when you have the opportunity to do a test, please let me know.
I will look for a CF sleeve but they are too expensive for a piece of plastic

Jo, I don't have a Bluetooth CF card, but I inserted a Pretec Compact CF GPS card and although it would power it and lit up the light on the receiver, and it assigned a COM port to it, as soon as I connected rather than receiving an NMEA stream, I just received garbage, so I think the answer will probably be no. I don't think the CF slot on the Navman sleeve is like a conventional CF sleeve. |

Thanks Dave, very kind..
I have read again the feature from the navman web site and there arent any limitation, type I & II CF, so in my opinion the navman should be responsible about the solution of these problems.... but we all know as the reality is different )
Its pity, because if i know this problem before, i would have purchase directly the tdk bluetooth sleeve instead a CF card (and now a CF sleeve hehe)
thanks again for the reply and your job with this web site and sorry for my terrible english |
