I used the 'Quick and Dirty' method to produce my own version with V5.0/4109, which worked fine.

However now I'm using 5.10/5158 I get an error 'Not a good DATA.chk file'.

I used the new data.chk file from the SD card, copied and renamed it 5158.data.chk to my harddrive. Any ideas whats going on.

simply remove the line of code that checks for the number of modules.

rayflan,
if you don't understand the code then you shouldn't mess with this thing. I don't want you to break your installation.

I don't know if anyone has requested this already, (apologies if they have), but what are the chances of having a generic sound to replace Polite 3 which is being used for the credits, because using this system there is nothing to use for non-speed camera POI's... could we have our Polite 3 back?

Lutz,

I know you have done some tremendous work, and I (like the others, am really grateful for it). I haven't taken it out to test the results but I was wondering if there was another approach which was worth considering....

Do we need to know the type of camera, specifically the difference between say temp, gatso and mobile? I might not understand all the nuances, but my view would be I would need to slow down for all of them. I realise knowing the speed is useful, so if the GO just said "Camera 30" for example, that would be enough for me. This would mean that you could have more other useful sounds in reserve for other types of POI.

I do realise you need to know if it is Specs type camera monitoring over a longer distance, but would this approach be helpful to others? (Do we knowwhen the Specs stop measuring?... that would be handy too)

That way you could still use audile warnings for service stations, or cash machines or wahtever you found helpful.

Just an idea....

Thanks for the goodwork done so selflessly! :D
