|
|
Hi,
I have an IPAQ HX2410 and a BT338. I installed GPSinfo & tomtom3. I paired the IPAQ to the bt338, It recognises the device, I connect and the blue LED on the bt338 flashes faster(connection made), my IPAQ show them connected but no bytes sent or received? When I open GPSinfo and click search nothing happens. If I select any of the com ports and set the baud rate to 38400 and click start GPS nothing happens.
I have managed to connect my laptop using GPSinfo on one occation so I know that the BT338 is ok. This does leave me a bit confused though.
Any help would be great coz I'm about to launch the hole lot out the window

I have got the same problem...
I have tried connected to the BT338 on my two iPAQ's (rx3715 and hx2110) and neither of them can pick up a reading.
My BT338 is showing it has receiption (green light flashing) and blue tooth connection (blue light flashing once per second).
I have tried it with TomTom, memorymap, VisualGPS and GPSinfo...
Any ideas please? |

Use a bluetooth enabled notebook or desktop and the program SirfDemo to swithc the receiver back into NMEA mode. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your reply.
I checked with my laptop and my BT338 was already in NMEA mode. Ih ave worked out what the problem is though and got it working now.
TomTom GPS 3.xxx was messing it up.
I have now installed 2.7 and it is working fine. See here: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=15927

Hi,
Thanks for this info I was having probs my using TTN 5, BT338 and SPV M2000.
But in Tom Tom 5 I selected other cable NMEA GPS NOT Other Bluetooth GPS, set baud to 38400 and choose Com Port 6.
It worked! I had being trying to sort this out all day Sunday, now I have 9 satellites fixes sitting at the dining room table!
I hope this info can help other people.
