Hello all.

I currently have an ipaq 4150 with an emtac gps reciever.

What I want to be able to do is have some sort of holder ie. sucker fix that I can move between trucks and my car but because of moving between vehicles it also needs to run from 24v and 12v supplies.

Is there one thing that will do this or does this mean buying seperate bits of kit?

Any ideas appreciated.

Hi

I have the TomTom Go.........comes with a windscreen sucker and a lead that will work off either 12 or 24 volt, it transfers from car to truck with ease as its a self contained unit.

I have two problems with the tomtom go.

1) Their is no way of altering the average speed settings so the arival time it predicts tend to be more car like than HGV like.

2) no POI data base for bridges etc (yea I know thier is one available on this site, but its about as much use as a chocolate fire guard)

Thats wot I use, and it has been pretty good to me so far.

Nick

Version 5 gives great estimates for dual-carriageway/motorway with speed set to 50mph. Driving
